Mrs. T was concerned with having heavy upper eyelids and lower eyelid wrinkles. Based on having appropriate eyebrow position an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) was done removing skin and muscle to define the eyelid crease. The lower eyelids did not have significant puffiness (from bulging fat) and a lower eyelid skin pinch was performed. Residual lower eyelid hollows can be addressed in the future with filler injections.

Mrs. H underwent a Revision upper and lower eyelid lift or Blepharoplasty. Her concerns were loss of upper eyelid, lower eyelid laxity and slight puffiness. She felt that her eyes were not as open as they used to be. The lower eyelids were treated using a skin muscle flap approach with muscle suspension and removal of extra skin and muscle.

Before and after the procedure, she has also had several in office treatments, consisting of volume filler addition with Juvederm to the midface, lips, under mouth corners, and nasolabial folds. She routinely gets botox treatments for her forehead, frown, and crows foot area.

The result of these various treatments is a natural rejuvenation, which does not appear overdone. Mrs. H feels and looks refreshed and more youthful. This result is shown at 9 months after surgery.

Mrs. F’s eyelids were bothersome to her, specifically in the asymmetry and the overlapping skin towards the side of the eyelid. She was treated with an upper lid blepharoplasty and a lower lid skin pinch, to reduce horizontal lines in the lower lids. The eyelids look much more open after the procedure and she is very pleased with the subtle changes.

Dropping of the eyebrows is a common issue in upper eyelid aging. This causes the upper eye skin to fall as well, and extra eyelid skin results. In some patients, an upper blepharoplasty alone will be enough. In other patients, an endoscopic brow lift is required to fully correct the problem. A lower eye lift was also done, tightening the muscle and removing extra skin and fat. The overall look is a well balanced eye region, which does not stand out and look ‘operated’.
